Camera Movements
For this specific project in particular, we had to make a small film/video of up to 6 scenes implementing different camera movements we had learned about: static, pan, tilt, push in OR pull out, tracking, and one movement of your choice.
The process of learning camera movements was very interesting and mind-blowing to me. I loved rewatching clips from movies I was already so familiar with and breaking them down to find out why and how certain feelings were inflicted when I'd originally watch it. It gave me such a deeper understanding to the film and even now I struggle to watch other clips and productions without pointing out all the movements even when I'm not in class.

| (Our Storyboard) |
Overall, I think my group had a great time completing this project. Our only main "challenge" was deciding what story we wanted to make and what each of our scenes would be. Once we had that figured out, deciding how we would use each camera movement was relatively easy because we were able to match the "feeling" or purpose we wanted for each scene to that of a camera movement.
Completing this project gave me insight and helped me realize that all the choices made in filming are extremely purposeful and contribute to the plot in some way. This on its own gave me even more respect to film makers for the great work they produce all the time.
For any future projects, I would like to not only complete the story board with comments and remarks of our ideas but also do a small walk through of all the scenes we will be filming so everyone knows visually what we are doing and make everyone's lives easier.
Camera Shots and Angles
For this project we were tasked to a similar assignment as the one above, making a picture by picture "clip" that implemented different camera shots and angles.
For this assignment I had a lot of fun and creative freedom that shows significantly in my choice of plot and props.
Overall, I had a good time completing this assignment and found it to be a lot of fun. The only challenge I initially had was deciding what I wanted to do and how I would do it. Once I decided on my props and set however, this issue wasn't much of a worry anymore.
Completing this project gave me insight and helped me once again realize that all the choices made in filming are extremely purposeful and contribute to the plot in some way. Furthering my respect for those in the film industry even more.
For future projects, I'd like to try out the idea of proposing a few different story boards and walking through them to see if seeing them in play would make me like them even further.
Thank you for reading, see ya next time!:D
